The ISA Students’ Chapter, Gujarat Section at Nirma University, proudly hosted its flagship annual technical festival TECHNOFORA’25 during August 22 – 24, 2025. The event is organised under the esteemed guidance of Dr. H.K. Patel, Head of the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, and Prof. Sneh Soni. With the central theme of “Game of Thrones”, TECHNOFORA’25 witnessed overwhelming participation with 500+ registrations.
Day 1 – Grand Inauguration & BidBots Auction
The event commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony in the presence of Dr. Himanshu Soni, Director of the School of Technology, and Dr. H.K. Patel, HoD of EI Engineering Department. This was followed by the much-awaited BidBots Auction, a unique competition where participants bid for components to design and build their own robots, adding strategy and excitement right from the beginning.
Day 2 – Workshops, TechStar & Drum Circle
The second day was marked by an exciting blend of learning and creativity. Two hands-on workshops were conducted in the morning:
- Solariser – where participants developed solar light-following panels.
- EmoBots – where participants built cars responding to human emotions.
Adding a special dimension to Day 2 was TechStar, an exclusive first-year competition where newly admitted students of Semester 1 competed for the prestigious title of “TechStar”.
The evening witnessed the Grand Drum Circle, where nearly 200 participants celebrated rhythm, energy, and unity. This session was followed by an inspiring address by Dr. H.K. Patel, which left the audience deeply motivated.
Day 3 – RC Car, Line Follower & BidBots Demonstration
The final day was dedicated to high-energy competitions, including the RC Car Race and the Line Follower Robots Challenge, which attracted fierce enthusiasm and innovation from participants. The day also featured the Demonstration Round of BidBots, allowing teams to showcase the ingenuity behind their auction-designed robots.
A Resounding Success: With a prize pool worth ₹50,000, TECHNOFORA’25 not only celebrated technical excellence but also became a platform for innovation, teamwork, and leadership. The fest exemplified the vision of ISA Students’ Chapter in nurturing young minds toward automation, robotics, and control systems.
