Urvish Soni, a 2012 alumnus of the EI (Electronics and Instrumentation) department, was one of the recipients of the National Teacher Award 2025. He was honored by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, at a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on September 5, 2025, which is celebrated as Teachers’ Day in India.
The National Teachers’ Award 2025 recognized 81 educators from across the country. The awards aim to celebrate teachers who have not only excelled in their profession but have also made a significant impact on their students and the wider community through their innovative and compassionate teaching methods. Each awardee received a certificate of merit, a silver medal, and a cash prize of ₹50,000.
