The Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering hosted the All Gujarat Automation Engineers’ Meet (AGAEM’25) on April 5, 2025. Organized under the aegis of the ISA Students’ Chapter, this flagship event united academia and industry on a single platform to promote innovation, collaboration, and excellence in automation and control engineering. The event was inaugurated by Dr. R. N. Patel, Dr. Himanshu Soni, Dr. H. K. Patel, Mr. Jaimin Desai, and Mr. Jagdish Shukla.
The event commenced with an enlightening keynote by Mr. Jaimin Desai, Former Deputy Director at ISRO’s Space Applications Centre, who shared insights on the role of automation in India’s space missions and the importance of interdisciplinary thinking.
Eminent speakers, Mr. Pramod Parikh, Mr. Jagdish Shukla, and Dr. Heena Rachh, enriched the audience with sessions on future-ready skills, sustainable automation, and industrial trends. Their expertise brought real-world perspectives to the academic environment.
A key highlight was the Ideathon, a high-energy competition where student teams tackled real-world challenges through automation solutions. With 100+ participants from premier institutes across Gujarat, the event featured breakthrough ideas in AI, IoT, Industry 4.0, and smart systems. In Ideathon G.E.C., the Gandhinagar team emerged as the winner, and the L.D.C.E. team stood runner-up.
The success of AGAEM’25 was a reflection of the department’s continued commitment to holistic engineering education, guided by Dr. H. K. Patel and Prof. Sneh Soni. The event set a new benchmark for knowledge exchange and industry engagement within the automation domain.
