International Society of Automation, Students Chapter Nirma University recently organized “All Gujarat Instrumentation Engineers Meet” (AGICEM-23) on April 29, 2023, which was a conclave of Instrumentation and Control Engineers from colleges all over Gujarat, under the guidance of Dr. Himanshu Patel, Faculty Advisor & HOD-E&I department, and Prof. Sneh Soni.
The event was graced by the US based International Society of Automation certified SIS-SIL specialist, Mr. P. N. Parikh who gave a lot of insights to all the participants with his 45 years of experience in the field of Automation Industry and academia. Additionally, the event featured distinguished entrepreneurs, Mr. Anand Patel, Director- Pentaflex Films LLP, and Mr. Niraj Shah, CEO – Arihant Satiate, both notable alumni of Nirma University, who shared their experiences and highlighted the importance of financial stability and personal growth.
These entrepreneurs have established their own individual companies, both worth over 100+ Cr. They also emphasized the significance of embracing automation without losing sight of the human element in the technology. Afterwards, students from various universities across Gujarat participated in the presentation competition on the topic. Automation in Sustainable Development and Green Environment. Students demonstrated a deep understanding of the subject matter. The presentations were well-researched with impressive visuals and students were able to effectively convey their message. The winner of the competition was L.D. engineering College.
