The ISA Students’ Chapter, Gujarat Section, Nirma University successfully organized ARMS India 2026 (Automation, Robotics, and Mechatronics Summit) on 25th March 2026. Formerly known as AGAEM (All Gujarat Automation Engineers’ Meet), the event marked a significant evolution in scale and vision. It was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Himanshu K. Patel, Head of the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering as well as the advisor of ISA SCNU, along with faculty advisor Prof. Sneh Soni. It witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members across various states of the country, as well as from different institutes within Nirma University.
The summit and delegate interaction were held at NIM Auditorium, IMNU, in the esteemed presence of Chief Guest Mr. Manan Patel, a certified project management professional with a proven track record of 30 years leading and directing strategic procurement across diverse sectors, along with distinguished dignitaries including Dr. Rajesh N. Patel, Dean, Institute of Technology, Nirma University, Dr. Himanshu Soni, Director, School of Technology, and Dr Himanshu K. Patel. The event also saw active involvement from several industry partners. ARMS–India 2026 featured key technical attractions, including Robo Wars and a Tech Fair, both conducted at the CD Lawn, at Institute of Technology, Nirma University, aimed at fostering innovation, practical learning, and strengthening industry-academia collaboration. Robo Wars served as a high-energy robotics combat competition, where student teams designed and built robots to compete in a controlled arena. The event highlighted participants’ expertise in mechanical design, control systems, and strategic engineering. The winning teams were awarded a grand cash prize of net INR 50,000. The Tech Fair provided a dynamic platform for companies and startups to showcase advanced technologies and engage directly with students. It offered valuable exposure to real-world industrial applications, internship opportunities, and emerging trends in automation and technology.
Overall, ARMS–India 2026 successfully established a collaborative ecosystem for students, academicians, and industry professionals, promoting technological awareness, innovation, and hands-on learning in the fields of automation, robotics, and mechatronics.
